This filtration unit is designed to improve the quality of incoming water by passing it through a selected filtration media bed. The system is housed in a high-strength, corrosion-resistant FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) vessel, making it suitable for residential, commercial, institutional, and small industrial water-treatment applications.
The tall cylindrical vessel provides sufficient space for the filtration media, while the top-mounted multiport valve allows the operator to control different operating functions such as filtration, backwashing, rinsing, and service/shut-off, depending on the valve configuration.

How It Works
Raw Water → Filter Inlet → Distribution System → Filter Media Bed → Cleaned Water → Outlet
During normal filtration, raw water enters the vessel through the valve and passes through the filtration media. Suspended impurities and other targeted contaminants are retained within the media bed. The treated water then exits through the outlet.
As the filter collects impurities, the media becomes loaded. The backwash function reverses or redirects the water flow through the media to loosen the accumulated contaminants and flush them through the drain line. A rinse cycle can then be used before returning the filter to normal service.
